Let us listen to the prophets and get ready to welcome the Lord. Let us consider the promises of the prophets to increase our desire for Jesus. We are lucky because the Messiah desired by the prophets is already with us. Jesus is the "Desired one" of all the nations. Jesus is the '"Expected one" by all peoples. Jesus wants to be reborn for those who long for his coming. Mary Immaculate well understood the mercy that God granted her. With the coming of Jesus a new law begins: the law of grace. By means of the prophecies God make us know the future Savior. With all the Gentiles let us say: "Open O heavens and let the Savior come." Lucky us! We possess the Treasure promised and expected by the Prophets. The coming of the Lord is the most important event in history. How beautiful it is to wait for the coming of the Messiah! This is the time to prepare the way for the Lord. O Lord, our hope, come to reign in our midst. O highest Wisdom, renew your wonders. Lower yourself, come and visit us. Come, Lord Jesus, because I have converted myself to you! Speaking of Jesus, Isaiah says that He is the "flower that sprouts from the root of Jesse." Today with the Church we invoke Jesus as the "Key of David" that opens the gate of heaven. Jesus is the sun which rises to illuminate those who are in darkness. Jesus comes as our king. We are his subjects. Jesus is the true Emmanuel, God with us. O Jesus, on this night we want to be spiritually reborn with you. Christmas is the celebration of God's tenderness. Jesus is the true sun coming out from the true tent which is Mary. Let us consecrate our families to the Holy Family. Jesus came, is coming and will always come. Let the heavens open, O Lord, and let holy priests come down to us. The Son of God became man to save the whole human family. O Lord, thank you, for delivering us from evils and for the goods you granted us.
